From Friday evening, 11 September, until Sunday afternoon, 13 September, our church family gathered for a wonderful Weekend Fellowship in Oppdal. We stayed together in a spacious cabin that accommodated around 40 people to sleep, providing the perfect setting for a weekend of teaching, fellowship, and rest.
Since many had come directly from work on Friday, we began the weekend with a relaxed evening by watching a Christian movie together. It was a fitting way to settle in before the full weekend of activities ahead.
On Saturday morning, after breakfast, we had our first teaching session on The Trinity and what it is not. The teaching was clear, engaging, and practical, helping us better understand this essential Christian doctrine and equipping us to explain our faith to those who question or challenge the biblical teaching on the Trinity.
The afternoon gave everyone time to enjoy fellowship in different ways. Some stayed at the cabin to relax and spend time together, while others visited a nearby beach to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Oppdal.
Later that day, after dinner, the children enjoyed a fun Bible-themed game based on the Parable of the Lost Sheep. After the younger children were put to bed, the adults continued the evening with games and fellowship together, followed by a delicious dessert shared in good company. The evening concluded with a special teaching on Christian parenting, following a request from one of the participants. It became another encouraging opportunity to learn from God’s Word together.
On Sunday morning, we gathered for our worship service after breakfast, bringing the weekend to its spiritual high point as we worshipped together and reflected on God’s faithfulness. Afterwards, we shared one final meal together before returning home.
We are grateful to God for a weekend filled with meaningful conversations, biblical teaching, laughter, and genuine fellowship. It was a time of encouragement for both adults and children, and we left refreshed, strengthened in our faith, and thankful for the blessing of gathering together as one church family.
